Destination Weddings
Here at World Weddings we pride ourselves in organising romantic destination weddings for couples wishing to get married overseas in the UK.
Here is what is included in a typical destination wedding:
Assistance with Accommodation and wedding venue
We will lend a hand in helping you select the most appropriate accommodation for all your guests accompanying you whether it is a top hotel or bed & breakfast.
We will also assist you in determining the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony and reception.
Your wedding coordinator will present you with a number of options which are available along with photographs and detailed information.
Guest Activities
It is a nice gesture to include exciting activities for your guests especially for large destination weddings which can last up to 3 or 4 days.
Our wedding coordinators can plan many guest activities from special picnics, outdoor activities like hiking to private excursions…the list is endless!
Rehearsal Dinner
A rehearsal dinner is an ideal way to get a taste of real British life. You and your guests can relax and enjoy the cuisine of the country; whether it is a 3 course meal in a typical restaurant or a 7 course banquet in a medieval castle, there are options to suit all.
For a rehearsal dinner with a difference, couples often choose a special wine tasting evening accompanied by gourmet meals!
Transportation
Transportation arrangements are of high importance especially when it comes to destination weddings. You and your guests will require airport transfers and transport to and from the wedding venue whether it be limousines, vintage cars or a horse drawn carriages – we can supply it. We will ensure that everyone shows up on time and no one gets left behind!
Welcome Package
This is a lovely way of greeting each of your guests upon their arrival at their accommodation. A package including maps, brochures, and a welcome gift such as specialty snacks with a bottle of wine.
Wedding Reception
A wedding reception in the UK usually includes 3 to 4 courses accompanied by a variety of drinks. The wedding reception normally proceeds as follows:
- Drinks reception with champagne, sparkling wines or cocktails with an assortment of hot and cold canapés. This takes
approximately an hour.
- Proceed to the dining area with either a buffet where guests help themselves or a course by course sit down meal.
- Either the dessert course follows or a dessert buffet. Some couples choose to use the wedding cake as the dessert course.
The reception tables can be decorated according to your taste. It is possible to arrange to have name cards or numbers with wedding favours for each of your guests.
Music
Most couples opt for the DJ option for their reception music as it is the most inexpensive and flexible choice, adapting to the atmosphere and getting everyone on the dance floor. But musicians and bands are other great options and should not be overlooked.
Photographer:
We have professional photographers all over the UK, specialising in wedding photography. We realise how important and valued your wedding photos are and have a photographer to meet all styles and preferences.
