Civil Ceremonies

In the UK a civil ceremony is legally binding and will be recognised in your home country if you are planning a destination wedding.

A civil ceremony can either take place in a local registry office - a fast, easy and inexpensive option - or in interesting venues such as medieval castles, romantic hotels or historic buildings that are licensed for weddings. The great advantage of having a civil ceremony in an approved venue is that the ceremony and reception can be held in the same venue.

You may personalise the ceremony to suit with vows and music, however a civil ceremony may not have any religious content.
