Unique characteristics of this Falcon Estate
At the Falcon Estate you have the wonderful opportunity of celebrating your wedding day in a setting which is unique, tranquil and even inspirational! This is a grand family home where you will feel most welcome, as if it were your own private house on your big day.
The rooms for the ceremony and reception stretch along the entire south side of the house and are available for your exclusive use along with the gardens on your special day. For an outdoor wedding, a marquee can be set up in the Arches Field. These arches, which lead into the original courtyard, still remain standing and make an impressive backdrop to a marquee reception.
The entrance hall has two beautiful still lifes hung on both sides of the door, while paintings depicting notable sporting scenes and numerous portraits of the family can be admired throughout the house. One of the rooms is dedicated to early and unusual pianos as well as a collection of musical instruments gathered from around the world. The library houses books dating back to the 16th century.
The 20 acres of gardens boast several special features including the well preserved Elizabethan rose garden and a lovely walled kitchen garden with its original Victorian greenhouses. You will also come across some of David Shillings works of art in the gardens; a collection of large reflective sculptures made of stainless steel are imaginatively arranged, contrasting greatly with the surrounding environment.
On the grounds is a falconry centre containing many different species including the Black Eagle, Lanner Falcon, European Eagle Owl and the Harris Hawk. You can see breathtaking displays of these rare and astonishing birds of pray soaring through the air or try flying them for yourself! Horse riding is available on the estate or you may prefer to watch the grand Spanish horse displays! There is also a full working Armoury here which still makes suits of armour using traditional methods.
This special place is where unforgettable wedding day memories are made, a day which will stay etched in the minds of everyone forever!
